DUBLETY W GWARZE HŁOMCZY NA POGRANICZU NADSAŃSKO-ŁEMKOWSKIM pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Streszczenie. W artykule przedstawiono dublety językowe – akcentuacyjne, fonetyczne, gramatycz-ne i leksykalne – występujące w gwarze ukraińskiej wsi Hłomcza, położonej w gminie Sanok, w województwie podkarpackim. Większo ś ć mieszkańców wsi w 1946 r. została przesiedlona na teren Ukrainy Radzieckiej. Po-została czę ś ć poprzez m.in. mieszane polsko-ukraińskie małżeństwa podlega postępowej asymilacji. Obecnie we wsi mieszka 10–15 osób posługujących się miejscową gwarą ukraińską, a jej stan u poszczególnych nosicieli uzależniony jest od ich biografii. Gwarę ukraińską Hłomczy, wsi leżącej na pograniczu nadsańsko-łemkowskim, zaliczyć należy do tzw. gwar przej ś ciowych. W gwarze przeważają cechy językowe charakterystyczne dla gwar nadsańskich, ale obecne są także elementy łemkowskie i bojkowskie. Dublety językowe z jednej strony odzwierciedlają przej ś ciowy charakter gwary, z drugiej za ś – zmiany następujące pod wpły-wem języka polskiego, a także ukraińskiego języka literackiego.

LINGUISTIC COUNTERPARTS IN THE DIALECT OF HŁOMCZA VILLAGE ACROSS THE BORDER OF LEMKO AND SAN RIVER REGIONS pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF



Summary. The paper presents accentual, phonetic, grammatical and lexical counterparts functioning in the Ukrainian dialect spoken in Hłomcza village, Sanok gmina, Podkarpackie Voivodeship. In 1946, a significant proportion of the population was resettled in the territory of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic; the remaining inhabitants have been progressively assimilated through, e.g. Polish and Ukrainian marriages. At the moment, the village is inhabited by about 10–15 people speaking the local Ukrainian dialect, and proficiency of these native speakers depends on their individual biog-raphies. The Ukrainian dialect of Hłomcza village is spoken across the border of Lemko and San river regions, and it may be classified as the intermediate dialect. The prevailing linguistic features are those characteristic for dialects spoken in the San river region, however Lemko and Boyko features are present as well. Linguistic counterparts on the one hand reflect the intermediate nature of the dialect, but on the other changes influenced by the Polish language, as well as the Ukrainian literary language.

Streszczenie. Artykuł przedstawia wyzwiska osób funkcjonujące w gwarze Sławatycz pochodzące z języka ukraińskiego. Omawiane leksemy pierwotnie oznaczały zwierzęta, ro ś liny, jedzenie, przed-mioty, czę ś ci ciała oraz obcych. Zmiany znaczeniowe zaistniałe przy tworzeniu wyzwisk opierają się na stereotypowym postrzeganiu ś wiata, czyli na antropocentryzmie negatywnie oceniającym ś wiat zwierzęcy, ro ś linny, ś wiat przedmiotów, a także warto ś ciowaniu człowieka wydzielającym opozycję swój – obcy.

UKRAINIAN EXPRESSIVE WORDS IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE SŁAWATYCZE VILLAGE RESIDENTS - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The article presents people insults that function in the dialect of Sławatycze village and come from Ukrainian language. Discussed tokens originally signified animals, plants, food, items, body parts and strangers to the community. Semantic changes that appear in the process of creating insults are based on the stereotypical perception of the world. It means that they are based on anthro-pocentrism which negatively evaluate the animal and plant world, the world of objects as well as the men’s valuation of the opposition internal – foreign.

Streszczenie. Artykuł jest po ś więcony analizie abrewiatur, czyli umownych znaków pisarskich o stałym znaczeniu, które zastępują słowo lub frazę. Przeanalizowano abrewiatury rozpoczynające tekst inskrypcji, abrewiatury okre ś lające relację zmarłego wobec Boga, skróty utworzone od pierw-szych liter wyrazów oznaczających moment narodzin lub zgonu, przykłady skracania słowa Hospod, abrewiatury informujące o stopniach wojskowych, tytułach naukowych, stanowiskach państwo-wych, godno ś ciach ko ś cielnych oraz abrewiatury kończące inskrypcje.

Summary. Article is devoted to abbreviated analysis, or notions writing constant sense that replace a word or phrase. Analyzed abbreviations begin the inscription of a text, abbreviators show the rela-tionship of a corps with God. Abbreviations formed from the initial letters of words denoting mo-ment of birth or death, for example shortening words Hospod, abbreviations inform about the mili-tary rank, scientific titles, state positions, church postitions or abbreviations ending the inscription.

Summary. The article deals with the verbal constructions used in the Lemko dialect for the nomina-tion of the winter festivities rituals. The author`s fieldwork materials and materials from the ethno-graphic sources are used in the research. The constructions in the Lemko dialect are compared with the related constructions in the Polish and Slovak dialects in order to define similarities and differ-ences between them.

Streszczenie. Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu są wła ś ciwo ś ci składniowe czasownika. W ś ród pojęć, które okre ś lają te wła ś ciwo ś ci, możemy wymienić: rekcja (równoznaczne z pojęciem rząd), konotacja, walencja, dystrybycja, łączliwo ś ć. Pojęcie rekcji jest najwęższe znaczeniowo. Oznacza ono wła ś ciwo ś ć czasowników dopuszczającą występowanie przy nich dopełnień. Analizie poddane zostały wybrane czasowniki ukraińskie i polskie w oparciu o następujące założenia: podstawę anali-zy stanowią znaczenia wyj ś ciowe czasowników ukraińskich, cechą porównywaną jest rekcja form przypadkowych, w sferze naszych zainteresowań pozostawały tylko czasowniki o rekcji silnej. W ś wietle przeprowadzonej analizy ustalili ś my tożsamo ś ci międzyjęzykowe, międzyjęzykowe różnice pełne oraz międzyjęzykowe różnice czę ś ciowe.

ON VERB CASE GOVERMENT IN UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE (AS COMPARED TO POLISH VERBS) - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The subject of the article are the syntactic properties of verb. The notions that determine these properties include: regimen, connotation, valence, distribution. The notion of regimen has the narrowest meaning. It denotes the property of verbs to be accompanied by objects. The Ukrainian and Polish verbs that were analyzed had been selected on the ground of the assumption that the principle of the analysis should be base meaning of Ukrainian verbs, the compared property was the regimen of the case forms, the group of verbs under analysis included only verbs of strong regimen. The analysis conducted enabled us to determine interlinguistic parallels, interlinguistic complete differences and interlinguistic partial differences.

Summary. This article provides the analysis of the motives of nominations of nom de guerres of Ukrainian combatants, who participate in Antiterrorist Operation in the eastern part of Ukraine. Out of all the principles of nomination, the most investigated is the one that gives external and internal characteristics of the combatant, his habits and the peculiarities of his speech. Different language means of specific features displaying have been considered; the lexical and semantic fields of the most typical and the most common peculiarities reflected in the combatants’ nom de guerres have been described.

PHRASEOLOGY IN TEXTBOOKS IN UKRAINIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: QUANTITATIVE, QUALITATIVE, AND DIDACTIC PARAMETERS - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The article provides an analysis of modern textbooks in Ukrainian as a foreign language from the point of view of quantitative and qualitative approach, and in respect to didactic approaches to semantization and acquisition. The object of the analysis are the universal and typical textbooks for Polish learners, directed to beginners, students who study Ukrainian on a basic (B1–B2), and high (C1) levels. The author pays attention on the necessity to apply the criteria of phraseological selection The author pays specific attention to integral application of the selection criteria for phraseology to apply in a teaching processes, developing a system of exercises designed to form skills of percep-tion, understanding and use of phraseological units in speech. A range of criteria for phraseological units selection, proposed by the author, may be applied to form phraseological minimums for differ-ent levels of language study and be the basis for phraseological learner dictionaries of different types.

Summary. The author briefly summarizes the content of the book (Linguistic advice. My publications and dialogues with readers) released in Przemy ś l in 2015, based on more than 300 pieces of “linguistic advice” and other publications relat-ed to the correct use of all-Ukrainian literary language, provided in „Nasze Słowo” Ukrainian weekly released in Warsaw for over 7 years (1965–1972). Ten chapters of the book explore controversial and difficult issues related to spelling, phonetics, grammar, syntax, style, vocabulary including bor-rowings from Polish, Russian and other languages, in the form of a discussion about correctness of the all-Ukrainian language spoken in Ukraine at that time. These dialogues were entered into for purposes of providing information and discussion or even evoking a dispute, and were carried out with numerous readers of „Nasze Słowo” residing in Poland, Ukraine and occasionally in the neigh-bouring countries.

Streszczenie. Celem opracowania jest pokazanie geografii poszczególnych typów semantycznych i strukturalnych nazw terenowych powiatu włodawskiego zapisanych w gwarze ukraińskiej. Podstawą materiałową są mikrotoponimy zebrane przez autora w latach 2000–2013. Przedstawione zestawienia poszczególnych modeli, zarówno semantycznych, jak i strukturalnych, ilustrują specyfikę ś rodowiskową w zakresie preferowanych modeli nazewniczych na tym terytorium. Widoczne jest wypieranie gwar ukraińskich badanego terenu przez gwary polskie.

Summary. The aim of this article is illustration of geographical diversity of semantic and structural types of local appellatives of Włodawa district noticed in Ukrainian dialect. The microtoponyms collected by author in the years 2000–2013 are the data base. Presented compilation of particular types, both semantic and structural, illustrates environmental specific in terms of preferred naming models on that territory. On the examined area there is visible the replacement of Ukrainian dialects by Polish ones.

Summary. The article deals with the analysis of the questionnaire on the ideas which modern young Ukrainians have about common and distinct traits in communicational behaviour of Ukrainians and Poles. Studying opinions of those under questionnaire the author discovers qualitative and quantita-tive parameters of expression in the communicational behaviour of such traits as restraint and con-servatism, tolerance and loquacity, sincerity and law-obedience, communicational optimism and ability to keep promises; the typical portrait of a Ukrainian and a Pole as well as their typical com-municational behaviour are simulated.

Summary. The article deals with the analysis of boykian, transcarpathian and lemkian borderline noun inflexion peculiarities, spoken in the areal of Ukrainian Carpathians. The typology according to a single model-matrix has been clarified, parameters of comparative analysis have been suggested, which enabled to trace integral and differential noun inflexion features of the dialects in question.
