Numerical solution of the problem of spatial movement of a loose mixture in a vibrolot - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. A computational solution of the spatial motion problem of a loose mixture in a vibrating tray by finite-difference method is obtained in the article. The essence of the method consists in the fact that the differential operators regarding the spatial variables are replaced by finite-difference operators in the mesh points. In that time, the finite-difference operator is to be approximate the differential one as accurately as it possible. Finite-difference operators with the second order of accuracy are used. Boundary conditions introduce changes in the coefficients of difference operators. We assume that these changes are already have been taken into account in the equations which correspond a system of ordinary differential equations relative to the vector variable. The dominant terms of the dynamics equations reckon in the summands of equations. They affect the convergence speed of the approximate solutions to the exact one. To the right-hand members the terms, which contain mixed derivatives, are reckon in. In this form, the equations are prepared for the application of the difference splitting method. In order to obtain a stationary solution of the problem, the following points are used: the presence of dissipation in the problem (forces of internal and external friction) leads to the fact that under constant external conditions (the boundary conditions do not depend on time), the flow of the loose mixture stabilizes with time and irrespective of the initial conditions reach its stationary state. Therefore, the initial-boundary-value problem with invariable boundary conditions is formulated further. And the stationary solution is considered as asymptotic. The multidimensionality of the problem leads to the need to solve systems containing a large number of equations. In addition, when solving the latter, numerical instability of the algorithm may arise is possible. One way of solving the equations is to move from differential equations to a system of algebraic equations by replacing the time-differentiation operator with finite difference. In the following, an implicit difference scheme corresponding to the Crank-Nicholson method with a double step in time, with a second order of accuracy, both in time and in spatial variables, is applied..
Key words: spatial motion, bulk mixture, finite-difference method, differential operators.

Study of the potential use of oil flax stems - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The article demonstrates the results of research on determining the potential of oil flax stem which allows to set realistic directions for its use for manufacture of short polidisposed fiber or fuel briquettes For high-quality processing of the stem, which remains standing, it is worthwhile applying the North –European technology of stem transformation into the treated plant fibers. Analysis of manufacturing technology of fuel pellets, briquettes indicates that the quality of their formation depends on the grinding, the initial moisture content. The stems of oil flax by calorific capacity do not differ from the most agricultural materials and produce 16 ... 18 MJ / kg. So, it is possible to receive short polidisposed fiber, in case of optimal weather conditions, or use the treated plant fiber as the raw material in production of materials for construction, fuel briquettes, which is the burning issue for the Western Polissya. The analysis shows that in order to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources , it is necessary to increase production of fuel briquettes. However the potential of organic part of crops is not used at maximum. The advantage is the relatively short cycle of funds necessary for oil flax cultivation technologies - from planting to harvesting and processing.

A machine for oriented planting of garlic teeth - pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The problem of mechanized planting of garlic teeth with forced placement in the soil with a bottom down, and a germ upwards is considered. It is established that to date, semi-mechanized and mechanized methods of planting this crop have been used predominantly. Used in this machines and equipment have certain design features and innovative solutions that allow the planting of garlic teeth at a given depth and the prepared rows, but do not provide the necessary orientation during direct laying in the soil. The existing machines and separate working bodies intended for garlic planting are analyzed. The overwhelming majority of them are equipped with disk-gripper, tape-gripper, chain-gripper, pneumatic, mechanical-air and disk planting units. During the work, the seeds released from them, under the action of gravity, fall into the groove, formed on the field by a coulter, which is immediately flooded by the soil with the help of coverers. In this case, teeth of garlic are distributed in the soil chaotic and without the necessary orientation. The construction of a machine for semi-mechanized planting of garlic teeth with a pneumatic mechanical system for picking them out of a bunker, orientation and internal-machine transport and a chain-plunger planting machine is proposed. The constructive-technological scheme of the developed planter is given. The constructive features and the principle of work of its separate units and working bodies are substantiated. The technological process of planting garlic teeth with their forced laying in a wedge-shaped groove with a bottom down, and a germ up is described. The interaction of the roller rod of the plunger with the guide of the planting unit is theoretically investigated. The analytical dependences for determining the main kinematic parameters of the interaction of the roller, fixed on the rod of the plunger with the guide when the jaw with a garlic tooth in the ground is dug, are obtained..
Key words: garlic tooth, planter, planting unit, plunger, jaw, guide, roller.

Determination of the impact of the type of sunflower oil used for production of biofuels on the fractional composition of SFME-pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Summary. The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the frying process on the fractional composition of SFME Biodiesel in comparison to the SFME obtained from unused (fresh) sunflower oil. The freshly pressed sunflower oil was divided into two portions. One was used for frying potato slices at 210°C for a period of 3 hours. The study showed the SFME biodiesel produced from unused (pure) sunflower oil generally has better distillation properties. The temperatures at the start of distillation were similar for both of the SFMEs. Within the 20-70% mid-range temperatures, the SFME produced from the used cooking sunflower oil was characterized by higher distillation temperatures for the same volume of fuel. The largest differences were observed for distillation temperatures from 85% to 100% and the final temperature of the distillation process. This may testify to lower purity of the SFME produced from the used cooking oil. In such a biofuel there may be more less volatile mono- and diglycerides or other chemicals which e.g. remain in the oil after frying. It must be said, though, these are not solid particles, as those were separated from the oil through filtration.
Key words: biodiesel SFME, biopaliwo, diesel engine, fractional composition, temperature distillation
