S u m m a r y. A relation between blood plasma concentration of homocysteine, methionine, cysteine, and the parameters of well-established criteria for cardiovascular risk (clinical, laboratory, instrumental) was studied in Ukrainian patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) of different course. The data evidenced on significant relation between a profile of sulphur containing amino acids (mainly cysteine) with the indices of informative criteria for myocardial infarction risk. Correlation analysis of the dynamics of concentration of homocysteine, cysteine, and methionine in the group of patients with IHC of high cardiovascular risk revealed a prevailing redirection of homocysteine into transsulfonation along with its restricted remethylation into methionine.

S u m m a r y. The development of technologies to optimize correctional-developing work refers to a number of actual issues in contemporary speech therapy. Currently information technology is extensively applied in speech therapy. Information technologies vary in their scope. Specialized computer programs are applied to diagnose and correct speech disorders. Teachers use educational blogs, webinars, and forums in counseling and education of parents of children with speech disorders. However, there is a concern about the materials developed for speech therapy published on the Internet and free access to them. Relevant is the use of cloud technologies (e.g. Google Apps for Education) in speech therapy, including strategies to improve professional competence of speech therapists. Google Apps brings together the most popular and productive services, the effective use of which can help speech therapist organize productive interaction between all participants in the educational process by creating electronic correction methods, and developing learning environments. Use of information technology in the process of training students in speech therapy can not only increase their level of information and media literacy, but also prepare for the working conditions in modern society.

S u m m a r y. The problem of prevention of occupational voice disorders in teachers can be solved at public and individual level. Research and implemented solutions that can prevent voice disorders at the individual level are especially important because 50-55% of health (including health of the vocal apparatus) depends on individual lifestyle. In order to establish a rational mode of teacher’s life it is useful to analyze their life balance by monitoring work and rest days. Therefore all daily activities and their timing is recorded. The obtained data is subjected to quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis of life balance mode during the day revealed ideal proportion of 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work, and 8 hours of free time and leisure. Qualitative analysis of life balance mode during the day found activities of various type and content, and certain degree of usefulness / necessity of each activity. Such monitoring can reveal reserves in rationing voice load and prevent occupational voice disorders in teachers.

TECHNOLOGY PSYCHOLOGY AND PEDAGOGICAL MAINTENANCE AS INTEGRATIVE TECHNOLOGY OF SUPPORT AND HELP FOR JUNIOR SCHOOLCHILDREN WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT- pełny artykuł (full article) - plik PDF

Vadym Kobylchenko
Institute of Special Pedagogics of National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev, Ukraine
S u m m a r y. Beginning school education is one of the most meaningful moments in human life, and the period of quality changes in learners’ awareness. Child’s first coming to school is associated with the need to adapt to new social situation, social norms and requirements as well as the acquisition of new social roles and relationships with adults and peers. Unfortunately even today, many teachers and parents underestimate the qualitative changes that occur in child with profound visual impairment during training. Much more attention is paid to child’s general traditional knowledge, skills and abilities. Personality change is particularly significant as it can play both positive and negative role, strengthen mental health or undermine it. Whereas gaps in knowledge can be filled up easily, psychological disorders, negative personality traits can pose sustained, difficult problems for pedagogical and psychological correction. Today psychological counselling in special education is to increase the effectiveness of educational process, improve interpersonal interaction between all participants in the pedagogical process, ensure timely identification of difficulties and problems of individual child’s personality development, prevent deviations in individual development and behavior, and create conditions for their correction. Technology psychology and pedagogical maintenance involves a set of interrelated and interdependent measures presented by different technologies (pedagogical and psychological), which are carried out by all actors of holistic educational process in order to ensure optimal socio-psycho-pedagogical conditions for child’s full development.

S u m m a r y. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used to alleviate pain of various origin and to lower body temperature. They also exhibit anti-inflammatory properties due to the inhibition of prostaglandin cyclooxygenase activity [7]. Broad spectrum of activity and easy availability make them at the forefront of the most commonly used pharmaceuticals, regardless of geographical distribution. The aim of the study carried out at the Department of Clinical Genetics, Medical University of Lublin was to evaluate the frequency of taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and the evaluation of public awareness of the risk associated with taking NSAIDs. The survey was conducted by means of a questionnaire consisting of 11 questions developed by the authors. The study included 228 people of different age, both women and men. The results found that ibuprofen is the most commonly used painkiller. NSAIDs are purchased more often from pharmacies rather than in other places.

S u m m a r y. The problem of engineering personnel shortage is relevant in many countries. An interdisciplinary approach to education shall be introduced from the preschool age: STREAM-centres are really necessary because they can play a role of a launch pad that proposes children a necessary scientific and technical platform for further growth and development. STREAM is the acronym of Science, Technology, Reading + Writing, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The components of STREAM-education contribute to children’s knowledge on the world: STEM helps children to form an integral scientific world; Reading + Writing reveals how to process a text content (for its deeper understanding), and prepares to handwriting; Arts allows children to move form admiring an object to its cognition, helps to impress, surprise, and engage emotions. The next particular steps of development of children’s knowledge on the world at the preschool age can be implemented with STREAM-education, i.e. creating an emotional image of an object using art, music, dance, literature; complementing and comparison of impressions; actualization of child’s own experience; moving from an emotional image to the scientific one.

S u m m a r y. The public awareness of medical professions and their role has become essential to health care nowadays. A doctor, nurse, midwife, pharmacist or a laboratory diagnostician represent professions, on which human health and life often relies. Medical Analytics/Laboratory Medicine is a relatively young, though quickly developing branch in medical sciences. Diagnosticians contribute to accurate diagnosis made by doctors and have essential share in the early detection of pathological changes before clinical symptoms appear. In spite of that, and partially due to limited contact with patients, diagnostician’s profession is not popular compared to other medical professions. The purpose of the study was to assess the awareness of laboratory diagnostician’s profession among the inhabitants of Lublin. A group of 188 randomly selected people were anonymously surveyed by means of a questionnaire. The survey was a part of health prevention programs carried out in shopping malls in Lublin in the academic year 2014/2015.

S u m m a r y. The purpose of study was to analyze drawing activities of preschool children suffering from alalia and assess the value and authenticity of drawing projective techniques. The author analyzes drawing techniques applied by psychologists in psychocorrective therapy for children suffering from alalia and proves that projective pictures drawn by preschool children are of low validity and authenticity. Since projective pictures of preschool children lack adequacy, they cannot be applied in psychotherapy and psychocorrective therapy for seven-year-old children suffering from alalia.

S u m m a r y. Recent years have witnessed rapid development in the field of medicine, in terms of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of severe diseases. The ongoing progress has set high standards in the field of diagnostic techniques. Cytometry, which dates back to 1934, is currently experiencing its boom. It is difficult to imagine that the prototype of the cytometer was an ordinary glass tube filled with a liquid with cells passing through. Nowadays, flow cytometers are highly specialized devices that allow to perform necessary tests in the field of diagnostics of congenital and acquired immune deficiencies, cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and many others. We can therefore describe cytometry as a unique diagnostic method, with a significant progress made over the 80s.

S u m m a r y. In order to establish genetic nature of predisposition to acute leukemia in children clinical and genealogical research was conducted in 209 families with the history of acute leukemia in children compared to 192 families with healthy children of corresponding age and sex. Conspicuous is increased susceptibility to malignant tumors in III degree relatives of leukemia children (the risk is doubled), whereas maternal tumor inheritance triples oncological risk. Families with leukemia children have 8 times higher risk for intestinal cancer, whereas other malignances, e.g. solid tumors or blood tumors were not found. The results partly comply with the data of other researchers, and partially indicate probable genetic involvement among the Ukrainian population, with characteristic features of malignant tumor formation.
